Please give a warm welcome and congratulations to Alexis Backer, SocialAttire’s first sketch competition winner. Alexis created the beautiful and much admired Orange Cocktail Dress that caught the attention of over 121 voters from all over the world. 

The Orange Cocktail Dress isn’t something you’d find on a typical outing to the mall. If you’re looking for a true head-turner, this is your dress!

Alexis, the entire SocialAttire community is so proud of your accomplishment, and we are all rooting for you as you continue your career as an aspiring fashion designer. We know that your incredible talents combined with the publicity you will receive from being a SocialAttire winner will bring you much success in this challenging industry. 

Now to answer a few commonly asked questions:

What should we expect next for Alexis's dress?

We will work closely with Alexis and our manufacturer in New York to create a prototype that is both true to the design, yet also wearable off the runway. It could take over a month to see the final product, but don’t worry, when you see it, it’ll be sure to blow your heels off! Once the prototype is up on the website, we will set a price and we will begin to take orders. We’ll be sure to keep you all updated along the way! 

What will be going on in the next few weeks at SocialAttire?

All sketches and samples remaining on the website are still eligible to be winners, and even older designs are not at a disadvantage. Continue to vote for and promote your designs! We will not have a new winner for a few more weeks, as we work on turning Alexis's dream into a reality, but be sure to check back on SocialAttire soon for a new countdown.
